Water Main Break – Centre Street
September 10, 2026
2:40 PM – Initial Update
The Village of Cremona is advising residents that a water main break has occurred on Centre Street.
Crews are currently on scene and working to address the issue. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Please note that the Bulk Water Station is temporarily closed and will remain closed until repairs are complete.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while crews work to resolve the issue.
3:34 PM – Repairs Complete
The water main break on Centre Street has been repaired. The Bulk Water Station has reopened and is now available for use.

Water Main Break
August 30, 2026
There has been a water main break on 3rd St., just south of 1st Ave. The break has been repaired, and water servcie has been restored, and the bulk water station is now open.

Upcoming council meeting

Please be advised that the regular Council meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2026, has been rescheduled. The meeting will now be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 7:00 pm at the Council Chambers.

The following buildings may experience reduced pressure and water service interruptions during the repair.
- Center St (Between 580 & 1 Ave W)
- 1 Ave (Between Center St and 1 St E)
Works is being done to minimize the area of impact and reduce the amount of buildings affected. I will pass along any updates as they come in.

What's New In Cremona?

The Village Of Cremona Bulk Water Filling Station is now open. To use the new filling station please contact the Village Office to set up an account and PIN number. Existing accounts can be set up by calling 403-637-3762. All new accounts must be set up in person by company proprietor during regular office hours.

Are you interested in volunteering with seniors? Bethany Didsbury is currently recruiting for compassionate volunteers to support a variety of programs within the Bethany Didsbury building. The Village of Cremona is offers E-billing and Preauthorized billing program. We invite you to enroll to receive your monthly utility billing via e-mail or direct debit from your bank account. Details on our Community Services-Utilities page.

If you live in the Alberta Forest Protection Area within Mountain View County you require a provincial permit to conduct a burn. Fire Ban information can be obtained on the Mountain View County website.

The Village of Cremona uses Can Pak Environmental for their Solid Waste Pick-up Services. Services include Curbside Single Stream Blue Bin Recycling, and Curbside Green Bin Composting.
