Held on Canada Day at the Community Hall & Grounds. Pancake Breakfast, Parade, Canine Capers, Lions Chuckwagon & Sandpit, Family Races, Bake Sale, Entertainment, Ball Tournament, Bouncy Tent, Children's activities, Facepainting, Bike Rodeo, Food, Fireworks and more.

Cremona Museum:
Located in the basement of the Gold and Silver Club. It is rich with history and has many photos and artifacts generously donated by our pioneer families. The museum is open to the public on Canada Day, July 1 and by appointment at other times.

First Saturday in September. Antique & classic vehicles, pancake breakfast, barbecue, and more.

Dogpound Pro Rodeo:
Held the third Wednesday of July, the Dogpound Rodeo is one of the most popular events in the area. Held at the Dogpound Rodeo Grounds, and sanctioned by the Foothills Cowboy Association (FCA).

Water Valley Celtic Festival:
One day event that features talent of all levels involving music, dance and stories performed by individuals and groups, amateur to professional.

Events include Saddle bronc, Bareback, Bull Riding, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Boys Steer Riding, Team Roping, Novice Horse Riding, and Junior Bull Riding. Sanctioned by the Foothills Cowboy Association (FCA).

History of Cremona
Cremona had its beginnings when one of its pioneers (Mr and Mrs Smith Jackson) opened a store and Post Office 1½ miles east of its present location in the year 1906. Mrs Jackson was widowed and later married Mr P A Bird. Together, they raised a family and lived in Cremona until 1960. Mrs Jackson, along with her good friend Mrs Caroline Reid, named their new village, Cremona, after Cremona, Italy, home of the Stradivarius Violins. When the railway came through in the 1930s, Cremona moved to its present site and was incorporated as a village in January 1955.
There are two history books available for sale in the library with amazing photos and stories from past and present residents: "Under The Chinook Arch", and "The Chinook Wind Still Blows".
Cremona also has a fascinating museum with a wealth of history and many photos and artifacts from the past.
